Panalpina signs new air freight contract with Solvay Chemicals |

ZURICH (Thomson Financial) - Panalpina Welttransport (Holding) AG said it signed a new contract with its long-standing customer Solvay Chemicals to handle the latter's air freight shipment on high-value pharmaceutical and healthcare products.Total freight under this contract is expected to reach 2,000 tonnes over the next two years, after which, it may be increased to 2,500 tonnes annually.The new air freight services will be in addition to the 13,000 TEU ocean freight per year that Panalpina already handles for Solvay, a Belgium head-quartered chemical and pharmaceutical group.huimin.neo@thomson.comhmn/jfrCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
