Australia's Alumina Ltd FY net profit 511.1 mln aud vs 315.6 mln

SYDNEY (XFN-ASIA) - Alumina Ltd's financial results for the year ending December 2006:

Share of net profit of associates - 546.6 mln aud vs 337.1 mln

Net profit - 511.1 mln vs 315.6 mln

EPS - 0.438 aud vs 0.271

Final div - 0.12 aud vs 0.10

Alumina owns 40 pct of Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals (AWAC) and derives most of its income from this joint venture with US-based Alcoa Inc, which holds the remaining 60 pct.
