WASHINGTON (AFX) - The U.S. Air Force on Wednesday awarded a $30.6 million contract boost to United Technologies Corp.The Hartford, Conn.-based company will provide the Air Force with spare engines for its C-17 aircraft.The company will complete work by January 2008.Shares of United Technologies gained $1.07 to finish at $68.02 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
