TD Bank extends Online Resources pact |

CHANTILLY, Va. (AFX) - Online Resources Corp., which offers Internet banking services to financial institutions, said Thursday that TD Banknorth Inc. extended a multiyear deal for its retail banking and consumer lending services.TD Banknorth, which has used Online Resources' tools since 2000, also will resell the firm's biller direct payment services to its commercial clients, according to a company release.Portland, Maine-based TD Banknorth serves 1.5 million households in eight Northeastern states, and is a subsidiary of Canadian financial services company TD Bank Financial Group.Terms of the extension were not disclosed and a representative from Online Resources did not immediately return a call for comment Thursday afternoon.Shares of Online Resources added 12 cents to $10.30 on the Nasdaq Stock Market, while TD Banknorth gained 14 cents to $32.17 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
