Lockheed gets $108M Air Force contract |

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Air Force on Wednesday awarded a $108 million contract to Lockheed Martin Corp. for launch services on its Atlas V rocket.The contract was awarded under the Air Force's space launch services program called the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle. It is for the launch of one of its military communications satellites.The company will complete the work by February 2009.Shares of Lockheed gained 2 cents to $97.28 in aftermarket trading, after dropping 31 cents to close at $97.26 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
