Boeing gets $49.5M Air Force contract |

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Air Force on Wednesday awarded a $49.5 million contract to Boeing Co. for one Delta II launch vehicle to launch its final Global Positioning Satellite.The contract includes funds for three stages to accommodate a variety of mission requirements, payload and a 40-inch graphite solid rocket motor.The company will complete the work by September 2008.Shares of Boeing gained 1 cent to $87.27 in aftermarket trading, after gaining 6 cents to close at $87.26 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
