ATHENS (AFX) - Greek betting technology company Intralot said Turkey's state-owned lottery operator SporToto will temporarily suspend betting games in the country for a few days, pending the formal awarding of a contract for risk management. The suspension is transitory and Intralot expects its 45 pct-owned Turkish unit Inteltek to be formally awarded the risk management contract for fixed-odds betting game Iddaa, it said. The Turkish Parliament recently voted for new legislation to remove legal obstacles for the operation of the games, and allow SporToto to directly award a temporary risk management contract to Inteltek.A new tender process for the risk management of Iddaa is expected in about a year.Source: Euro2day.gr NewsWireskrekas@euro2day.grns/abrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
