MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Donaldson Company Inc., which makes air and liquid filtration systems and parts, said Thursday it acquired Aerospace Filtration Systems Inc. from Westar Aerospace and Defense Group Inc.Donaldson, which did not disclose the price, said the acquisition of St. Charles, Mo.-based Aerospace Filtration, a developer and manufacturer of air filters for military and commercial aircraft, will combine both companies' filtration and manufacturing capabilities.Aerospace Filtration had annual sales of roughly $18 million, the company said.Shares of Donaldson dropped 25 cents to $35.57 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
