WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Air Force on Monday awarded a $22.1 million contract boost to a unit of General Electric Co. for combustion chambers for the F-110 Engine.The F-110 engine is used in the F-16 fighter jet.The Cincinnati-based General Electric Aircraft Engine division is expected to complete work by December 2008.Shares of General Electric rose 2 cents to close at $36.86 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
