PARIS (AFX) - Alcatel-Lucent said it has won an order to supply an IP-based network to Russia's largest cable-TV operator, Mostelecom, with a first phase due to be launched in the first quarter of 2007.The terms of the contract were not disclosed.Alcatel-Lucent said the higher band-width of the IP network will enable Mostelecom to introduce triple-play services -- which bundle internet, TV and fixed-line telephony -- as well as diversify its existing TV offer.Mostelecom has 90 pct of Russia's cable-TV market with 3 mln subscribers, according to Alcatel-Lucent.paris@afxnews.comgt/mjs/gpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
