WASHINGTON (AFX) - The Navy awarded an $11 million contract to aerospace company Boeing Co. to provide installation and engineering services for a space surveillance network.The Navy said late Thursday Boeing will perform services for submarine qualified personnel to operate and maintain the system, system transportation and all system hardware and software changes.The company will perform the work Anaheim, Calif., Santa Barbara, Calif. and Westerly, R.I., by December 2007.Shares of Boeing shed 9 cents to $90.94 in morning trading Friday on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
