SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Immersion Corp., a maker of hardware and software that simulates tactile feelings to enhance on-screen events, said Thursday it settled a patent lawsuit with Sony Computer Entertainment, and will 'explore' the use of Immersion technology in PlayStation products.Under the agreement, Immersion will receive twelve quarterly payments of $1.875 million beginning in March, for a total of $22.5 million, and will pay Immersion certain other fees and royalties, while Immersion granted Sony licenses for some of its patents, and covenants not to sue.Shares of Immersion closed down 7 cents at $7.23 on the Nasdaq.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
