COPENHAGEN (AFX) - ALK-Abello AS said its operating result for the four months to Dec 31 was a loss of 28 mln dkr, while there was a pretax loss of 18 mln dkr on sales of 563 mln dkr.

ALK-Abello itself expected operating profit of 10 mln dkr on sales of 560 mln dkr for the period, while analysts polled by newswire Direkt expected an operating loss of 21 mln dkr and sales of 558 mln dkr.

The group will use the calendar year as financial year in the future.

For the financial year 2007, ALK-Abello forecasts sales of 1.65-1.70 bln dkr, with an underlying organic growth of 12-15 pct compared to the calendar year 2006.

This forecast includes sales of the Grazax grass allergy treatment tablet, but ALK-Abello warned that the Grazax sale forecast is subject to substantial uncertainty, as it depends on several factors, including price and reimbursement negotiations with the European authorities and thus whether the launch progresses as expected.

It is expected that Grazax will be launched in Northern, Central and Southern Europe during the year.

The group expects the organic growth in the remaining business will be moderate.

Operating profit for 2007 is forecast at approximately 200-220 mln dkr, including revenue from Schering-Plough of about 200 mln dkr.

Pretax profit is expected at 230-250 mln dkr.
