VIENNA (AFX) - The Austrian coalition government plans to reduce the budget deficit to 1.12 pct of gross domestic product in 2007 from 1.2 pct in 2006 and then to 0.88 pct for the following year.'If the deficit is any greater (than 1.12 pct), then I won't have done my job,' said Wilhelm Molterer, the recently appointed Minister for Finance and Vice Chancellor, on national radio.Under the new government made up of the social are ds' and the conservative 'blacks', there are plans to reduce spending by 600 mln eur a year over the next two years.
