BoJ Tankan - FY06 parent current profits seen up 6.2 pct vs up 5.1 pct

TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) - The combined current profit of parent firms across all industries is seen rising 6.2 pct in the year to March 2007, compared with an expected increase of 5.1 pct in the December survey, according to the Bank of Japan's Tankan quarterly survey.

The BoJ issued the following current profit forecast growth for the year to March 2007, compared with

estimates given in the December poll:

All industries - up 6.2 pct vs up 5.1 pct

All manufacturers - up 7.3 pct vs up 6.2 pct

All non-manufacturers - up 5.2 pct vs up 4.1 pct

Big firms - up 7.1 pct vs up 5.4 pct

Big manufacturers - up 7.7 pct vs up 6.2 pct

Big non-manufacturers - up 6.5 pct vs up 4.5 pct

Mid-sized firms - up 5.9 pct vs up 5.6 pct

Mid-sized manufacturers - up 8.4 pct vs up 8.9 pct

Mid-sized non-manufacturers - up 4.3 pct vs up 3.5 pct

Small-sized firms - up 2.7 pct vs up 3.4 pct

Small manufacturers - up 3.6 pct vs up 3.1 pct

Small non-manufacturers - up 2.3 pct vs up 3.6 pct

The BoJ issued the following net profit forecast growth for the year to March 2007, compared with

projections given in the December survey:

All industries - up 16.9 pct vs up 20.9 pct

All manufacturers - up 17.4 pct vs up 22.7 pct

All non-manufacturers - up 16.5 pct vs up 19.3 pct

Big firms - up 16.4 pct vs up 20.0 pct

Big manufacturers - up 17.6 pct vs up 22.8 pct

Big non-manufacturers - up 15.1 pct vs up 17.0 pct

Mid-sized firms - up 21.9 pct vs up 23.3 pct

Mid-sized manufacturers - up 16.0 pct vs up 20.9 pct

Mid-sized non-manufacturers - up 26.3 pct vs up 25.0 pct

Small firms - up 15.1 pct vs up 22.9 pct

Small manufacturers - up 17.6 pct vs up 24.2 pct

Small non-manufacturers - up 14.0 pct vs up 22.3 pct

The BoJ issued the following forecasts for revenue growth for the year to March 2007, compared with projections given in the December survey:

All industries - up 4.1 pct vs up 3.7 pct

All manufacturers - up 5.3 pct vs up 4.8 pct

All non-manufacturers - up 3.5 pct vs up 3.2 pct

Big firms - up 4.6 pct vs up 4.3 pct

Big manufacturers - up 5.6 pct vs up 5.1 pct

Big non-manufacturers - up 3.9 pct vs up 3.7 pct

Mid-sized firms - up 5.4 pct vs up 5.1 pct

Mid-sized manufacturers - up 5.6 pct vs up 5.2 pct

Mid-sized non-manufacturers - up 5.3 pct vs up 5.1 pct

Small-sized firms - up 2.1 pct vs up 1.6 pct

Small manufacturers - up 4.0 pct vs up 3.2 pct

Small non-manufacturers - up 1.6 pct vs up 1.2 pct
