LONDON (AFX) - GlaxoSmithKline PLC has submitted breast cancer pill Tykerb to Japanese medicine regulators for marketing approval.The company is seeking approval as both monotherapy and combination treatment with chemotherapy agent capecitabine for patients with advanced or metastatic HER2 positive breast cancer, in women who have received prior therapy.Tykerb was approved in the US on March 13, and is awaiting a green light in the EU and other countries.amy.brown@thomson.comab/sljCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
