Statoil says Troll gas field back at full production |

OSLO (AFX) - Statoil ASA said its mammoth Troll gas field in the Norwegian Sea is now once again producing at full capacity, after the firm succeeded in repairing two gas compressors which had reduced output at the end of last week.A spokesman for Statoil confirmed output was back up to 'normal levels', but declined to give any details on the implications of the problem.Troll is the largest gas field offshore Norway, containing 60 pct of the total gas reserves on the Norwegian continental shelf.It is located in the northern part of the North Sea, covering an area of 750 sq kms.The field is 56 pct owned by Petoro, while Statoil has 20.8 pct, Shell has 8.1 pct, and Norsk Hydro has 9.78 pct.alastair.reed@thomson.comar/twCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
