Great Portland reports 'encouraging' start to 2007 |

LONDON (AFX) - Great Portland Estates PLC announced an 'encouraging' start to 2007, adding that execution of its development programme is on track.In a fourth-quarter trading update, the company said 14 schemes in its development plan are in the near-term programme, and rents are growing across this programme.The company added it expects investment markets in central London to remain intensely competitive.
