HOUSTON (AP) - Natural gas partnership Eagle Rock Energy Partners LP said Monday that it plans to appoint Joseph A. Mills, current chief executive officer of Montierra Minerals & Production LP, as its new chairman and chief executive officer.Mills will join Eagle Rock Energy in late April, when it completes its previously announced acquisition of certain Montierra assets in a cash and stock deal worth about $127.6 million.Alex Bucher, who currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Eagle Rock Energy, will swap his title of CEO for that of chief operating officer and focus on the partnership's existing midstream segment.Billy Quinn, managing partner of Natural Gas Partners, which controls Eagle Rock Energy, will give up his role of chairman of the partnership.Mills brings 25 years of mineral exploration and production experience, including previous merger and acquisition knowledge, Eagle Rock Energy said.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
