United Airlines to carry U.S. mail

CHICAGO (AP) - UAL Corp., parent of United Airlines, on Monday said it has received a four-year contract to carry mail for the U.S. Postal Service in a deal worth up to $400 million.

United will move domestic mail for the Postal Service from April 28 through Sept. 30, 2011. Its previous domestic mail contract expired in June last year.

The airline also carries international mail for the Postal Service.
