LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Providence Resources PLC said a 50-day drilling programme over Hook Head in the Celtic Sea will commence at the beginning of August on taking delivery of the Petrolia rig.It confirmed that it has now been advised that Island Oil and Gas PLC has taken delivery of the semi-submersible drilling rig, Petrolia, which they have secured for operating their summer drilling programme.It also said in a drilling update that it has completed the site survey in preparation for its Summer 2007 Celtic Sea drilling programme, adding that the survey was conducted over two well locations on the Hook Head structure using the RV Ocean Researcher.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.compmi/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
