Alcoa completes plant expansions |

NEW YORK (AP) - Alcoa Inc. on Wednesday said it completed expansions in six countries of aluminum manufacturing facilities that serve the aerospace industry.Alcoa said the expansions reflect 'a strong outlook for the aerospace sector in power and propulsion, fastening systems and structural metallics.'The company increased plant capabilities at locations in the U.S., U.K., Italy and Russia and boosted capacity at facilities in the U.S., Hungary and Mexico -- which all make aerospace products.Alcoa shares rose 24 cents to $34.83 in late afternoon trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
