China A-shares close higher; key index at new record finish |

SHANGHAI (XFN-ASIA) - A-shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen closed higher on strong fund inflows with property and machinery stocks gaining ground, dealers said.The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A- and B-shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed up 38.70 points, or 1.19 pct, at 3,291.30, a new closing high, after moving between 3,251.52 and 3,292.58.Turnover rose to 107.14 bln yuan from 93.30 bln in the previous session.The Shanghai A-share Index was up 40.73 points or 1.19 pct at 3,459.46 on turnover of 106.62 bln yuan and the Shenzhen A-share Index was up 11.69 points or 1.33 pct at 893.57, also a fresh record high, on turnover of 57.39 bln yuan.The FTSE/Xinhua China A 50 Index was up 119.88 points at 11,662.65. The FTSE/Xinhua China A 200 Index was up 107.38 points to 8,317.85 and the FTSE/Xinhua China A 600 Index was up 96.81 points at 7,322.06.(1 usd = 7.73 yuan)lake.xu@xinhuafinance.com
