Parmalat buys stakes in Romania, Russia units from EBRD for 8.1 mln eur

MILAN (AFX) - Parmalat SpA said it has agreed to buy stakes in Russian and Romanian units from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, paying a total of 8.1 mln eur.

In Russia, Parmalat lifts its stake in OAO Belgorodskij Molochnij Kombinat to 99.75 pct from 64.8 pct, paying 6.0 mln eur, the company said.

In Romania, Parmalat is buying 19.7 pct in Parmalat Romania SA for 2.1 mln eur, taking its stake to 93.1 pct, it said.
