Mylan gets tentative OK for Letrozole |

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Mylan Laboratories Inc. said Thursday its Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. unit received tentative Food and Drug Administration approval for a generic form of Novartis AG's Femara tablets.Femara, or Letrozole, is a breast cancer treatment. Novartis recorded sales of $208 million for the drug during its first quarter. The tentative approval covers the 2.5 milligram dose.Copyright 2007 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
