PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Lagardere SCA said it will refuse the 0.12 eur per share dividend approved by EADS shareholders at the aeronautics group's AGM today. In a press release, the French company reiterated the previously stated position of CEO Arnaud Lagardere, who is also co-chairman of EADS, that Lagardere will decline any dividend 'out of solidarity with all the staff of Airbus'.Lagardere said that its share of the dividend amounted to around 15 mln eur, a sum 'which will remain at the disposal of EADS'.EADS had announced earlier that it will pay a 0.12 dividend to shareholders, accepting a vote by shareholders in favour of the payment. The EADS board had failed to agree on a resolution regarding the dividend, with DaimlerChrysler AG in favour of a payment, and the French government and Lagardere opposed in view of the financial problems and planned job cuts at the Airbus unit.tfn.paris@thomson.comgt/gpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
