PARIS (Thomson Financial) - France Telecom is in exclusive talks to buy business service activities from Indian group GTL, a spokesman for the French company said.France Telecom's Orange Business Services unit is conducting the negotiations, he said, to acquire the 'enterprise and managed services' of GTL.The spokesman was reacting to a report in the Economic Times, cited by French daily Le Figaro, claiming that France Telecom was about to buy the IT division of GTL for 46-55 mln eur.The spokesman declined to give any details on the terms or the timetable of the discussions.He also stressed that the GTL activities concerned are have ry targeted' telecom business services, with there being no question of France Telecom acquiring an 'IT services company'.tfn.paris@thomson.comgt/ejbCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
