Divx names new president

NEW YORK (AP) - Video compression software maker Divx Inc. said Wednesday it named Kevin Hell president of the company, effective April 2.

Hell, 42, was previously 'CXO' or Chief Divx Officer of partners and licensing. Before that he served as chief operating officer, from November 2004 to April 2006.

Shares of Divx were trading at $20.27 in the after-hours session, up 12 cents from Wednesday's closing price of $20.15 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
