PARIS (AFX) - Clear Channel said it has filed a lawsuit in a Paris court after losing out on a contract to manage outdoor advertising and a bike-rental network for the city of Paris, claiming 'irregularities' in the attribution of the contract.Last week, the city of Paris awarded the 10-year contract to Somupi, a joint venture owned by JCDecaux and Publicis. But Clear Channel says JCDecaux's offer is not feasible for either it or Somupi because of technical restrictions. The company says that doubts about procedural considerations have prompted it seek confirmation that competition rules relating to public tenders were duly followed.paris@afxnews.comafp/js/icCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
