PARIS (AFX) - Pierre Gadonneix, chief executive of Electricite de France, will meet with executives of the China Guangdong National Power Company (CGNPC) in China on Friday, to discuss various cooperation projects as part of their partnership, a source close to the matter told Agence France-Presse in Beijing.In October, the two companies expanded an existing agreement to include nuclear power projects.'Mr. Gadonneix has been invited to talk about potential projects within the framework of this cooperation,' the source said.Sources have already said that Areva, France's state-owned nuclear group, is in talks to sell two of its next-generation EPR (European pressurised water reactor) reactors to Guangdong National Power, with EDF possibly becoming the operator of the plants.paris@afxnews.comafp/js/cmrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
