BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AFX) - Auto insurer Infinity Property and Casualty Corp. said Tuesday it raised its quarterly dividend by 20 percent to 9 cents per share.In the prior quarter, the company paid a 7.5-cent dividend.Infinity will pay the dividend on March 12 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 27. The new dividend represents 36 cents per share on an annual basis, up from the 30 cents per share paid last year.Shares of Infinity Property and Casualty Corp. rose 80 cents to close at $49.51 on the Nasdaq.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
