SAN DIEGO (AP) - Adventrx Pharmaceuticals Inc., a biopharmaceutical research and development company, said Tuesday M. Ross Johnson will retire as chairman effective on the date of the company's annual shareholder meeting.Johnson, who has served as chairman since October 2002, will retire to attend to personal health matters, the company said.Adventrx expects to announce a succession plan after its next scheduled board meeting in May.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
