Tekelec, Bouygues Telecom settle lawsuit |

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Network switching and transmission equipment maker Tekelec said Tuesday it signed a settlement agreement with French mobile telecom operator Bouygues Telecom to end a lawsuit that stemmed from a 2004 service interruption in Bouygues' network.As part of the settlement, Tekelec will provide $5 million in credits to Bouygues, which it can apply to purchases of Tekelec products and services.The agreement also provides for mutual releases and dismissal of the lawsuit with prejudice.'We are very pleased that we have been able to amicably settle our lawsuit with Bouygues without going to trial,' Tekelec Chief Executive and President Frank Plastina said in a statement.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
