MOSCOW (AFX) - Russia's biggest oil group, Lukoil, is 'disturbed' by the way the sale of the final assets of bankrupt oil giant Yukos has been handled, Interfax news agency said, citing company president Vaguit Alekperov.Lukoil is disturbed by the rules under which the sale of Yukos assets has been carried out, Alekperov told journalists.'(The sale covers) a number of significant lots, composed of quite different assets,' he said.It would have made more sense, he said, to have sold upstream assets -- such as those involved in exploration and production -- separately from downstream assets such as refineries and distribution channels.Lukoil has not yet made an offer for Yukos' assets, Alekperov told Interfax. The largest of Yukos' assets, the group's 9.44 pct stake in Russia's Rosneft, will be sold on Mar 27, along with other holdings.A second lot, principally comprising a 20 pct stake in the Gazprom Neft oil company, will go to auction on Apr 4.newsdesk@afxnews.comafp/gp/har/ms1COPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
