Airbus received 97 orders in Jan-Feb versus 64 for Boeing |

PARIS (AFX) - Airbus said it received 97 orders for planes in the first two months of the year, compared with the 64 orders reported by Boeing as of Feb 27.EADS unit Airbus registered seven orders in February following the already-announced 90 orders in January.The manufacturer said it has delivered 76 planes so far this year.The 97 orders for the year to date include 89 A320 models, two A340s and six A330-200 cargo planes.In 2006, Airbus booked 790 orders, while Boeing received 1,044 orders.Boeing's 64 orders in January and February were almost entirely for long-haul models -- 36 B767s, nine B777s and 16 B787s -- with the exception of three B737s.paris@afxnews.comafp/gt/ms1COPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
