PARIS (Thomson Financial) - A consortium comprising Sacyr Vallehermoso's environmental services subsidiary, Sufi, and Veolia's waste management unit, Veolia Environmental Services has won a 440 mln eur contract to build and operate a waste treatment and waste-to-energy plant in Mataro, Spain over a period of 15 years, Veolia announced.The project is being financed by the Catalan government through the Catalan Waste Agency.Veolia Environmental Services and Sufi each have a 38 pct stake in the consortium, while Catalan construction companies Suris, Tau Icesa and Proinosa own 19 pct and Germany's BKW has 5 pct, Veolia said.vicky.buffery@thomson.comvb/ejbCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
