Time is precious in the modern world. And what could be better then switching to internet banking from a branch-based current account that will not only save you time, but also some money. If that’s not all, switching to internet banking can even lead to weight loss, a new survey reveals.
The survey conducted by First Direct bank shows that by using online service, its customers are able to save approx. 38 minutes a week as against the amount of time spent by an average person in the UK on their finances.
| If the same minutes are added up over a period of one year, the amount of time saved will allow you to make 1,000 cups of tea, watch around 16 films, play/watch 22 games of football, as these activities will burn off your calories, the survey suggested.
The survey also pointed out that an average person in the UK spends five times more each week for brewing cups of tea as against First Direct bank’s internet banking customers.
The interesting revelation of the survey however was that an average parent in the UK are only left with 51 minutes a day after taking into account the time spent on sleeping, eating, working, household chores, and quality time spent with their children.
So it is clear that taking time out of your packed schedule to visit a branch or wait in a telephone queue, is something which needs to be done away with, the bank survey suggest.
