(AFX) - In a Feb. 5 story about Parker Hannifin Corp.'s January orders, The Associated Press erroneously reported certain segment information. Orders in the company's international industrial segment, not North American industrial segment, rose 8 percent.A corrected version of the story appears below.CLEVELAND (AP) -- Parker Hannifin Corp., which makes motion-control equipment for the transportation and food processing industries, said Monday that its total orders increased by 1 percent in January, compared with the same month of 2006.Orders in the company's international industrial business were up 8 percent in January, compared with a year ago, and orders in the aerospace business increased 4 percent. However, orders were down 4 percent in the North American industrial segment and down 1 percent in the climate and industrial controls business.Shares of Parker Hannifin gained 11 cents to close at $85.37 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
