TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - High Tech Computer Corp (2498.TW) (HTC) said it and Yahoo Inc have decided on a strategic global partnership to preload and distribute Yahoo's services on millions of HTC devices.Yahoo services, including Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0 and Yahoo Mail, will come preloaded on many of HTC's devices, according to a statement from HTC, provider of Microsoft Windows Mobile-based smart devices.The recently launched Yahoo! oneSearch, an entirely new search engine designed to give consumers instant answers on their mobile devices, will also be included, it said.'HTC is always seeking new ways to keep people connected to their community of friends and personalized content while mobile,' Peter Chou, chief executive officer of HTC, said in the statement.'By partnering with HTC to put Yahoo Go 2.0 on its mobile devices, we are bringing the true mobile Internet to an even broader audience around the world,' Marco Boerries, senior vice president of connected life, Yahoo, said.HTC mobile devices with Yahoo services will be available to consumers through both mobile operators and direct distribution channels, the statement added.In today's trade, High Tech Computer closed up 5.50 twd at 436.50.(1 usd = 33.00 twd)adela.lin@afxasia.comal/net
