Neurosearch partner Abbott Laboratories intiates phase 2 study for ADHD drug |

COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Danish pharmaceutical company Neurosearch AS said its development and license partner Abbott Laboratories has initiated a phase 2 study for the anti-ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) drug candidate ABT-894.Abbott is responsible for the clinical development and commercialization of the drug and will finance development costs, while Neurosearch will receive milestone payments as well as royalties on sales, the group said.The initiated phase 2 study does not change Neurosearch's financial expectations for 2007 of a pretax loss of 80-100 mln dkr, it added.gustav.sandstrom@thomson.comgs/lamCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
