Vienna bourse keen on stakes in Sofia, Ljubljana exchanges, expects more IPOs |

VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - Wiener Boerse (Vienna stock exchange) said it was interested in investing in both the Sofia and Ljubljana bourses and that it expects an additional three or four companies to go public on the Vienna exchange before the end of this year.Wiener Boerse management board members Michael Buhl and Heinrich Schaller told Viennese daily Die Presse that their bourse was interesting in bidding for the 44 pct stake in the Sofia stock exchange that the Bulgarian government plans on selling before the end of this year.Buhl and Schaller said that they would also be interested in investing in the Ljubljana exchange if its owners were to sell any stakes.The Wiener Boerse co-heads also said that they expect either three or four additional IPOs on the Vienna exchange this year, but did not name the companies involved, according to Die Presse.peter.klopf@thomson.compkl/vlbCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
