PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Veolia Water said its consortium with subsidiaries Showa Kankyo Systems KK and Nishihara Techno Services KK has won a new contract in Japan for the complete operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant in Chiba near Tokyo.In a statement, Veolia said the contract, which runs for a period of 3 years, will generate an estimated consolidated turnover of 17.8 mln eur.The new treatment plant, called Hanamigawa No.2, has a capacity of 283,000 cubic metres per day and serves a population of around 500,000 inhabitants, Veolia said.vicky.buffery@thomson.comvb/jlcCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
