EADS unions, managers to be questioned by French Senate committee in May |

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Senior managers and employee unions of EADS and its subsidiary Airbus are to be questioned in May by the French Senate's economic affairs committee which is preparing a report on the group's situation, a Senate source told Agence France-Presse.EADS' chief executive officers Tom Enders and Louis Gallois will be questioned on May 29 and employee unions on May 15, the source said.In mid-April, the French Senate's economic affairs committee designated two of its members to compile a report on EADS' current situation, its financing and prospects for development, the implementation and impact of the Power8 restructuring plan and the group's system of governance.The committee members have already questioned Denis Verret, EADS' head of institutional affairs, and on Wednesday will interview Bruno Bezard, head of the State holdings agency, APE.They also intend to schedule a hearing with the joint chairmen of EADS' board of directors Arnaud Lagardere and Rudiger Grube who represent EADS' principal private shareholders, Lagardere and DaimlerChrysler, and with former chief executive Noel Forgeard.The report is due to be submitted to the economics affairs commission at the end of June.vicky.buffery@thomson.comafp/vb/jlcCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
