DSV buys Irish transport companies |

COPENHAGEN (Thomson Financial) - Danish transport group DSV AS said its Air & Sea division has agreed to buy the freight companies Campbell Freight Agencies Limited and Campbell Freight Agencies (Ireland) Limited for an undisclosed sum.Campbell Freight Agencies has expected yearly sales of 18 mln stg and is based in Northern Ireland while Campbell Freight Agencies (Ireland) has expected yearly sales of 9 mln eur and is based in the Republic of Ireland.'DSV Air & Sea has acquired the two enterprises to strengthen its global air and sea activities in general, and in particular to create a stronger platform in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland,' the group said.DSV said the integration of the two groups is expected to create operational and administrative synergies, which are expected to be fully implemented within two years.Following that period, the companies are expected to achieve an EBITA margin in line with the rest of the DSV Air & Sea division, it added.The acquisitions are not subject to any authority approvals said DVS.gustav.sandstrom@thomson.comgs/ejpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
