BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Noven Pharmaceuticals Inc. Thursday reported third-quarter adjusted net income of $7.6 million, or 30 cents a share, up from $5 million, or 20 cents a share, a year agoThe mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for 17 cents a share.Revenue rose 39% to $21.8 million from $15.7 million a year ago, compared with analyst forecasts of $23.5 million.The company said the increase in revenue reflects the recognition of $3.3 million associated with sales of JDS's Pexeva and Lithobid products, higher sales of Noven's Vivelle-Dot estrogen patch and higher license revenues.The Miami-based women's health pharmaceutical company closed at $13.52.Michael Lauengerml/tk1COPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
