Textron plans increase of business jets |

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Cessna Aircraft Co., a unit of Textron Inc., said Wednesday it is increasing production of its Citation X business jets by 65 percent through 2010 to meet growing demand.The aircraft maker said it has delivered more than 260 Citation X aircraft to global customers and has a backlog for the aircraft well into 2008.Cessna delivered 1,239 total aircraft in 2006 including 307 business jets.The Kansas-based unit expects to deliver 375 jets in 2007.Shares of Textron gained 52 cents to $89.41 in aftermarket trading, after dropping 68 cents to close at $88.89 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
