WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Navy on Wednesday awarded a $16.3 million contract boost to a unit of Boeing Co. for additional services on the F-18 aircraft series.McDonnell Douglas Corp. will provide engineering and logistics support on the F-18 aircraft for the U.S. Navy and the governments of Switzerland, Finland, Canada, Australia, Kuwait, Malaysia and Spain.The company will perform the work in St. Louis and El Segundo, Calif. through December 2007.Shares of Boeing gained 35 cents to $89.06 in aftermarket trading, after gaining 89 cents to finish at $88.71 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
