Lockheed Martin wins $18.4M Army deal

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Army said Thursday it recently awarded an $18.4 million contract boost to Lockheed Martin Corp. for practice pods used to launch rockets.

Lockheed will perform the work in Grand Prairie, Texas, and East Camden, Ark., through April 30, 2009. The deal was awarded on May 31.

Shares of Lockheed Martin fell $1.40 to $95.25.
