BONN (Thomson Financial) - Deutsche Telekom AG representatives are holding informal talks with Ver.di trade union on how to end a four-week-old strike but it is not clear yet whether these would lead to a resumption of formal negotiations, Ver.di strike leader Ado Wilhelm said.He said the discussions center on the company's latest proposals to improve payments to 50,000 employees who are planned to be outsourced to a separate company.Ver.di has been on strike to protest the outsourcing plans.Telekom personnel head Thomas Sattelberger said a few days ago that the company would improve its offer on bonus payments and is confident formal talks with Ver.di will resume early next week, based on the response he received during informal discussions with union officials.marilyn.gerlach@thomson.commur/zb/mog/hjpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
