Subsea 7 wins 50 mln usd contract from Petrobras

OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Norwegian oil services group Subsea 7 Inc said it has won a 50 mln usd contract from Brazil state oil company Petrobras.

Subsea 7 said the contract is for installation work in the deepwater Cascade and Chinook fields in the Gulf of Mexico.

Subsea 7 will engineer and install 70 km of power cables and control umbilicals, among its work for Petrobras.

The fields are located at Block 425 of Walter Ridge area in water depths ranging from 2,300 metres to 3,000 metres.
